i can hear splashing against the hull
taps are welcome song from the deep
as it glides to open sea free, free to roam
sending message to all fins swimmers
to give way or would be chop to pieces
dolphins can’t be deterred; love to race
curious onlookers came to watch them
taking pictures; applauding their antics
with squeaking voices as they surface
they are faster than us; but decided to go
somewhere closer to the shore for a hunt
for food, maybe those fattened mollusk
