041710c Last Glimpse Poem by Manonton Dalan

041710c Last Glimpse

leaded clouds overhead, dashing
crosswind, threatening pouring rain
no leaves nor trees to see but cresting
bubbles increasing intensity; rocking
this giant flatform to faint submission
felt by many; slowly listing to left side

i went topside to view the fading shore
beautiful boardwalk where tourist stroll
longest bridge a short cut to new york
through delaware where you can stop
for some luck at slot machines before
you head to turnpike for a very long haul
