big orange cylinder bobbing by the sea
i could hear a call “man overboard, man
overboard”, slowed down to make a turn
captain made sure we won’t run over it
he knows the current and also the wind
we muster quickly who could be missing
they launch a recovery small boat, fast
with search and rescue swimmers and
a rifleman in case a white shark comes
nobody is missing it turn out to be a drill
it was a precision attempted recovery
rib boat is so fast you could water ski
