042811p Welcoming Shade - Poem by Manonton Dalan

my shadow is getting closer
to my feet, i'm getting thirsty
there's spring somewhere
on side of mountain rocks
about hundred yards away
my stopover to refill bottles

somebody cleaned it up;
even constructed bench
under canopy of a big tree
i laid down after drinking
never thought to fall asleep
it is always welcome breath
