043 Her Body, Her Temple Poem by Colin Johnston

043 Her Body, Her Temple

Rating: 5.0

Her body, now closed to me
Covered in unrevealing drapes
Its treasures hidden from my sight

Her temple, where once i wandered freely
Seeking out its mysteries
Is now forbidden to me

No magical key of mine now works
No kind word or loving touch
Can open those tightly shut gates

Locked outside
Bent and disfigured
I ponder in frustration
The silence from within its walls.
