drooping ears almost touching ground
so as belly gently waving from side to side
so innocent puppy struggling to catch a ball
calm and sweet, harmlessly waiting to be pet
i have no desire to throw that ball any farther
she got enough exercise for this morning
she found a cool place and lay down to sleep
without worry on oil spill, global warming or debt
that's admirable of the pets; they show you peace
you leave them all day when you come home they
still love you as if you were gone for months; happy
kissing you, wants to cuddle, you have to stop them
