050610a I Should Have Cut It Early Poem by Manonton Dalan

i look up a tree a crack branch
i took duck tape tried to put back
okay, leaves didn't wilt overnight
strong enough for wind blowing
i forgot all about it until one day
after a hurricane came; it's gone

consolation i keep for sometime
i could have put her in more pain
than cut that broken limb by then
am i cruel doing it so innocently
i'm trying to look pretty as can be
she can't talk; i'm not aware of any
