i miss whispers of cricket
somewhere in the thicket
oh! so pleasing to my ears
that one day i tried to find it
she's stealthy she just quit
building up my losing fears
when pouring rain comes
hides behind bark of a tree
drawing her love of beauty
lightning reveals her home
and she is living all alone
besides dew in the morn
