(1) Time Indicates Healing

In an empty rooming house,
I read the Psalms of David
and slept on the floor.
I abstain from meat
and burn incense
in the kitchen.
I don't believe in hell
but assume I'll go there anyway.
The loneliness is unending,
but I always try to journey to the following day
in case another sunrise will make me smile.
