121310d We Are Together Poem by Manonton Dalan

121310d We Are Together

a little kid offered me piece of pie
so sweet i get one more serving
i was told his mom bake it today
i believe it; it's still warm to touch
i stayed; we talk; we laugh; we drink
cold apple juice and he played music

reminds me of my kids when they're young
they love listening to my funny stories
now they're all in school learning more
when we meet i am the good 'ole listener
i enjoy it but i always to pay the dinner
i can pay everyday; we are together
