.2. Builder Poem by David Threadgold

.2. Builder

Rating: 5.0

Could I have been a builder?
With a pickup full of rubble
A kitchen wall had fallen down
Supporting loads of trouble

I’d prop the sagging ceiling
Or fit an R.S.J.
Lay straight and level brickwork
Then let the owner pay
