.2. Driver Poem by David Threadgold

.2. Driver

Could I have been a driver?
For the train on platform eight
Setting off at sixteen ten
And not a minute late

I’d learn to read my rulebook
All signals and the speeds
To keep within the limits
On the fast track down to Leeds
