.2. Joiner Poem by David Threadgold

.2. Joiner

Could I have been a joiner?
With my chisels sharp and ready
To cut into the timbers
With hands that must be steady

I’d make my joints all tidy
So each would fit real tight
Repairing rotten window frames
To let in better light
