.4. A Fair Day Poem by David Threadgold

.4. A Fair Day

Rating: 5.0

A day at the fair
First the coconut-shy’s
Throwing the wooden balls
Watch out someone cries

Next to the rifle range
Plenty of pellet
White painted tin duck
Soon we would fell it

Onto the dodgem cars
Sparks on roof netting
Looking for speed
But a slow one we’re getting

On the way home
Toffee apples so glad
All telling tales
Of the great time we’d had
