.4. Messy Eater Poem by David Threadgold

.4. Messy Eater

Splodge of porridge on the picture
Blob of ketchup on the floor
The curtains got the custard
As jam run down the door

Mash splattered on the windows
Got gravy on dogs tail
Corn flakes on the carpet
Butter knife was in the mail

The telephone got marmalade
Old bureau caught a scallop
The cat lapped up the dripping milk
As beans lie in a dollop

We try our best to shield ourselves
From all the food he’s had
In time he’ll get the best of
Our messy eater Dad
