469. Kandi Poem by Jaden Knight

469. Kandi

Kandi was the youngest mage in a century
when she first discovered her powers
the king recognised her potential
and employed her as a healer to the court

She goes to the woods alone to practice
dressed in a white robe with green trim
that matches the color of her hooded cloak
she wears her dark brown hair down to her chest
no hair band has ever touched it

Alone in the woods she will sit
and cast her spells in private until nightfall
honing her impressive skills
especially skilled in light and restoration
she shows great promise to become the most powerful

In coming years she will serve as a battle mage
using her abilities to defend her homeland
healing the sick and injured
striking down those who dare to attack her

When the war ends she will be a healer once more
the best that the world will see
but never will she forget her woodland training
when she wore her clothes of white and green
