A man who's so unlike me is a blessing
What I'm not is so plain, what I am
Is unseen, as such someone
who sees Is the same one

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was written in recognition of the role a man had played in my life, how a discordance turned to true friendship, a true gift from God when I needed companionship during deep depression. At the end of a long road, I'd like to picture someone waiting to coach me to go on.

Learn from everything and everyone as each has a reason for being. When you do, you've become a global man with no geographical, racial, or religious boundaries.

It's not exactly a man but a goal, the fruit of a long struggle, the reward of forbearance, the resolution of many questions. I'd like to know there are truly answers and it helps to have someone tossing back and forth a thought with me, without deception, with no ulterior motive but just to get a common resolution. I think most of my poet friends fit this description.
