A Chameleons' World Poem by Amitava Sur

A Chameleons' World

Rating: 5.0

This world this habitat
Or even this present society
Is not familiar to me.
Here, I can see innumerable masks
Being scattered everywhere.
I can hear the roars of whims and immoral deeds,
Spreading so freely with a pace.

From behind those masks
I can hear the monstrous cry,
In the nights with blowing air
I can hear fearsome fluttering sounds of evil wings.

Decency, soberness, honesty like virtues
Are faded and extincting nowadays.
Mostly they are believing or agreeing
Those masked characters only,
Majorly who are found to be given leadership too! !

The mass is found to be with broken spine,
Crawling and being dragged to a hell.

This noisy and chameleons' world
Does not belong to me
I am not familiar to this nor I can live.

Exquisite meaning and definition of what's going on nowadays, Amitava. You have expressed it in a very enlightening and creative poetical way. Sincerely being able to see the portrait you have drawn through your poetical words. Thank you for sharing, Little One!

So now it may be called our world as a chameleons' world. Beautiful poem shared.10
