A Choice To Pick Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

A Choice To Pick

Being alone for some,
Has become less an option...
But a choice preferred to pick,
As a necessity to keep...
One's peace of mind,
From being sought and breached.
By those who perceive,
Anytime is the right time...
They can trespass across,
One's path without asking...
For permission to violate.
Even if the signs appearing,
Are obvious to make clear...
That one alone to enjoy it,
Is not in desperate need...
Seeking to be alone,
Should be interpreted as one...
Who wishes to receive and get,
Attention from anyone...
Not to request it.
