A Cold Wind Blew Poem by Paul Warren

A Cold Wind Blew

Rating: 5.0

A cold wind blew up from the south
That rattled the teeth in my mouth
On a clear winter's night
To set the scene where all is not right

A duality of righteous souls
Reaching out for heartfelt goals
Starts again to win the day
Then once completed are left to ease away

What seemed set at the time
Now didn't matter in a search so fine
I'll remember each wasted one
Once an enthusiastic argument begun
