A Complaint Against Someone Adorable Poem by Doris Cornago

A Complaint Against Someone Adorable

There were words to say which
I have never said though
I felt it when you're
Here, just
Looking
Not
Saying
Anything
Yet, even your
Silence is pure, adorable
You listen and wait without emotion
But an icon, to show you're there, hibernating

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When a man does not talk to you, how do you know what he is feeling? Should you start the conversation to lure him out of his shell like a hermit crab? He needs his silence like a security blanket but the waiting, the silence gets to you as minutes, hours, tick by. A gentleman will let you know if he's still breathing or you need to call 911 (or your country's emergency number) to take him to the nearest hospital.

You must agree at some code so that nobody feels left out. If you want to hibernate, by all means, do, but leave a word so I know when to call your mom, dad, the fire department, a close friend, or a neighbor to look in on you. It's called accountability. or in other words, common courtesy.
