A Country Boy In Town

I sang a song
Standing by the road side
Watching the vehicles passing by
And waiting for a joy ride
I sang the song aloud
And I found a lively crowd
That laughed and made fun of me
And arranged a ride almost free
I am a poor country boy
Had come to visit the town
People have no time for others here
And I felt like an innocent clown
