A Creative Endeavour On Love And Its Many Forms

A creative endeavour on love and its many forms
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
You need to fall in love
And come out of it unscathed
By the pathos of love and longing,
Then you emerge as a person with a literary or an artistic bent of mind;

Love is like finely chopped sautéed garlic
Added to flavour the taste of paella
And most Indian foods
As love is the essence of life on this planet;

Love is like the trimmings to a cake
Added to decorate the taste and look of the cake
And love becomes life as satisfied longing
Yearns for sexual fulfillment;

Next to love or head to head with love
There is work and the joys it brings
For work or love well done
Is a joy unto itself;

But if honest and hardworking earnings
Were to result from work
Then it is an Einsteinian discovery
Or a Shakespearean effort
Or a well-constructed CN Tower
Or single strands of DNA isolated
Or an inukshuk glued and put together
Or the entire show put together for the audience
On English Debate 2019 night on CBC;

There are many other achievements
That constitute an engineering marvel
Or an artistic creation
Or a literary masterpiece
Which has to be lauded as
A Nobel Prize is in the Euclidean space
That is earth
And we wonder if our fame
Reaches the Hillbert space, The Milky Way and the surrounding galaxies,
Or the Banach space which is the entire Universe.
