A Cup Of Poetry And Tea Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

A Cup Of Poetry And Tea

O, your comparison fills me with delight,
As a cup of wine, reflecting your soul's light,
Or a poem with lines that taste so fine,
You ask what I'm like, but you're surely mine.

Each sip from you brings immense pleasure,
Like a drunkard finding solace in a bitter measure,
In moments with you, the world's burdens cease,
Empowering me to conquer challenges with ease.

Your fragrance fills me, runs deep within,
Dispelling sorrows, bringing freshness akin,
Through you, I find solace, a release from strife,
And compose words that echo the cries of life.

Like a passerby seeking shade beneath a tree,
Or a dolphin reveling in the vast open sea,
Or a lover enraptured by their beloved's grace,
In you, I find all happiness in one embrace.

Proudly I hold you, like a cup of gold,
With each sip, horizons of wonder unfold,
You, dear one, are more precious than all,
For after partaking, I feel wittier and bold.
