A Death To The Autonomous Ego-Self Is Necessary.
The mystic's concern with death
results from his concern for love.
The paradox that in a love-relationship,
a letting go, a surrender,
a 'death' to the self-contained,
autonomous ego-self
is indispensable is a fact
of experience which
any lover knows,
who has tasted something
of the riches of friendship.
The mystic's concern with death resulted from love has great value and intensity of life is measured. An excellent poem is shared.10
