A Desire To Know Deep Meanings - Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Dictionary!

My Dictionary!

Raise it high in your right hand!

We shall use it
we shall use it to explore
to seek out...

the meaning of words
the meaning behind words
the multiple hidden meaning of life.

Amen.

Because modern computer dictionaries
really blow... they do, not, contain,
varied rich poetical meanings of words...

as some of my youthful dictionaries did
stimulating imagination, thought, wonder,
stimulating a desire to know deep meanings...

Your poem took me back in time to Shakespearian style. So simple poem, but so rich in content.Well done...Cristina Teodor (Report) Reply

    Your expressions are most creative.
I too enjoy your depiction of 'youthful dictionaries'.
And how younger people do define the world based upon
    their terms. Very nice.

as some of my youthful dictionaries did
    stimulating imagination, thought, wonder,
stimulating a desire to know deep meanings..

Well-written non-satiety. Perhaps time changes itself the queries, thirst, quest for different type of deep meanings comparing the stimulation of past days dictionaries.

    Regards,
    again 10+
