A Different Girl - Poem by Akhtar Jawad

I see a change in her,
Yes, I still look at her.
She has closed her doors,
I have closed my doors.
But a window is still open,
The vagabond being an old peeper,
While peeping in through the open windows,
Sees a different girl!
She is no more sleeping in the swimming costume,
now she sleeps in a blue night gown.
Heart beats are the same,
and her lovely eyes staring at roof,
sometimes at this wall sometimes at that wall,
she never looks at the windows,
perhaps she doesn’t want to disturb the peeper.
How beautiful are her eyes,
capable of drowning the entire universe!
Sometimes hiding her face in the pillow,
She wants to conceal her tears from the peeper?
Is it the same girl who watched porn on computer?
Now when she fails to sleep in the early hours of night,
She goes to computer and writes a poem,
now her poems are different,
No vulgarity in it,
now she nicely paints human sentiments.
Who brought these changes in her?
Her first step on the highway of maturity,
Or it’s love, otherwise,
May be both!

You have beautifully brought out the change that has come over the girl, not only in her physical appearance but also in her attitude to life and living! But I must say...... peeping is a bad habit Akhtar ji! You'll be penalized.....Ha.. Ha! ! (Report) Reply

Wow! I love this superb write, as you see the changes in this girl growing up with her softer side glowing, possibly it's her experience of her first love that enchants her world and inspires her passion and desires into such beauty let free from her pen! (Report) Reply
