A Fool's Game Poem by Marieta Maglas

A Fool's Game

Rating: 5.0

In this fool's game that shouldn't begin,
You play deep love without honest rules.
If you think that you will always win,
Well, it's wrong, 'cause this game is for fools.

If you think that my style is easy,
And you hunt me without honest rules,
Well, my way to be is not sleazy,
And it's good, 'cause this game is for fools.

If you think to catch me so slowly,
And you dance this without honest rules,
If you think that my life is lonely,
Well, it's wrong, but life is yet for fools.

In this morbid dance without feelings,
Dance of wishes without honest rules,
You think that love means mutual dealings.
It is as wrong as all your game fools.

If you think that you'll be a winner
In this love fight without honest rules
Well, love means not sex after dinner.
You can lose, 'cause it's a game for fools.

If you think that you can get everything
In this world of yours with missing rules.
If you think that I am quite nothing,
Well, it's wrong 'cause it's a game for fools.

When man/woman actually deep in love, such contradiction arises perhaps. It is undoubtedly the outcome of weakness. We know the game is a game for fools, but can't hold ourselves away from the orbit. Sometimes giving someone the chance of winning is only possible by a generous one, at least who has known that winning is also a defeat to ones own destiny. Simply time is the last and ultimate factor. Well written........10/10 Regards, pranab
