A Forsaken World Poem by Shah Alam Al Mujahid

A Forsaken World

There is no spring within nature,
No lively dawn appears,
No cheerful chorus of birds is heard,
No sweet melody reaches our ears.

পুষ্পশূন্য, শুষ্ক মরু;

All around lies a forsaken land,
Flowerless and dry like a desert;
There is no humanity,
And therefore, there is no rain—
So no tree has awakened for life.

Today, there is no joy of Eid,
Smiles have vanished from every home,
To the melody of prayers stained with blood,
The silent dawn weeps.

ফিরে আসুক শান্তির আলো;

Stop the war—it is time now,
Let the light of peace return;
Let people live, let humanity survive,
Let this be the world's true good.
