A Four Letter Word Called Love - Poem by Amelia Pressley

A four letter word called Love

Love may be a four letter word
But it has more meaning to that
It is something that we sometimes can’t afford
When somebody breaks loves abounding cord

Love may be your sunshine
It may be your storm
Love is never on time
Only when you are torn

Some may say love never fails
But you, my friend, can never tell
It has its ups and downs
But sorry to say, it’s not for sale

Battlefield is what they say love is
Yes, I can agree with a kiss
It can be a bloody battle
Only if you take good armor, miss

As I have made my point of what love is, my friend
Until next time this writes the pen
Love is like the taste of hope on your bitter tongue
But it shall never end
