A Friend Across The Pond Poem by David Harris

A Friend Across The Pond

Rating: 5.0

For Marci Made

There is a young lady,
who reads my poems,
almost every day without fail.
She gives me lovely compliments,
most I feel I don’t deserve.
I try to read her poems when I can,
my failing there entirely.
The time difference between
our countries is an awkward thing.
I’m normally going to bed,
when she comes on board.
However, to that PH friend,
who live across that big pond.
Marci, this little poem is just for you.

I agree, David. Sometimes I wonder if Marci ever sleeps. Or maybe she just types extra fast. I great tribute to an energetic and accomplished poet. love, Allie xxxx

Nice tribute to a lady that seems to spread her words to everyone....I don't know how she can keep up...but she manages to comment on many with wonderful words: O)

Oh my goodness David, I so don't deserve this but I am accepting it with my heartfelt love and appreciation....You have made a dreary and rainy day very sunny for me in my heart.....Like I said, not too many here left, like those of you across the Pond....and yes the time change is a big pain...........I am forever grateful for this, your friendship and your words that so often have lifted my spirits and taught me better ways to deal with life....thank you seems trite but I'm speechless, hard to believe, 'eh? ? ? gratitude and hugs. love, marci.xo
