A Great Life Poem by David Harris

A Great Life

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I spend my quiet moments
in daydreams of yesterday
with familiar faces I used to know,
recalling times of yesteryears
when we were young
and future was our oyster.
We would make all our dreams come true.
Then the daydream is gone
and we think back at all we have done
and try to recall all the dreams we won.
We remember all the hardships
and how we battled through.
We remember all the heartaches
that our life has had to endure.
How we sank so low at times,
but recovered from them too.
We look around at all we have
in the way of different dreams
and we can say with honesty
what a great life we’ve had.

You're obviously one of those optimistic souls who see the glass as half full. And an attitude like this is a good recipe for happiness, in my opinion. I personal reflection with a satisfying conclusion. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
