A Hospital's Valentine's Day Poem by Daya Nandan

Everyday is like valentine's day for healthcare staff,
For we work non stop to improve the survival graph,
We celebrate love, the love we have for mankind,
We risk it all for strangers as our love is blind,

We treat all without stigmatisation or discrimination,
We treat all regardless of their hailed nation,
We do our best to protect the sanctity of human lives,
We do our best for your parents, siblings, husbands and wives,

A day to celebrate love for your significant other for most,
Yet for us it is another day to stop every man from becoming a ghost,
Despite being drenched with sweat while trying our best,
We push our limits further while putting our bodies to the test,

With the common goal of saving lives while devoting ourselves,
With every doctor, nurse, pharmacist and MA burning up themselves,
We shower mankind in love and keep death's shed at bay,
And for us that is how we celebrate our valentine's day.
