A Hymn In Silence Poem by Khairul Ahsan

A Hymn In Silence

Rating: 5.0

When all corners get quiet around,
Not necessarily at the fall of night,
I rise up to the call of silence
And set out for a stroll in the nature.

My thoughts get spread over and laid
On the lush green carpet of grasses,
The wandering clouds,
The ripples on the placid lake
Created by the ducks swimming merrily,
The lonely lanes and the mute trees around,
The unoccupied benches that stand witness
To many a story of unrequited love!

The quiet songs of nature whisper to my ears
Serenades of love sung in the yesteryears;
Much in harmony with the surroundings,
I sing in silence a hymn to the Creator of Beauty!

The lush green carpets of grass, the empty park benches, the quiet songs of Nature, the sight of ducks swimming in placid waters... all these take us to an ethereal land! This is what your poem has done to me......!

As a lover of Nature, I can so well relate to your experience. Early in the morning before the world wakes up or in the evening when most of the men have withdrawn to their own retreats, it is so pleasant watching nature in her moody silence without the roar of traffic or the cacophony of people in business.
