A Laudable Loo. Poem by Fay Slimm

A Laudable Loo.

Rating: 5.0

Well, did you ever! Oh how grand!
In the smallest of rooms I stared
As farmer friends beamed, proud planning
Had now worked, to get me in there.....

Scenes of sealife, all shaped to size,
Gulls climbed tiled walls, ultra-style flooring
Depicting shore was grand, beguiling,
But nothing beat the best encore.......

New plastic loo-seat caught my eye.
A see-through piece, - - clear, indiscreet
Watery-blues fully defied
Belief with petrified fish, neatly
Entombed, smiling, dead-eyed at me!
Sea-horses cavorting with crabs
Amid floating bubbles, freely
Suspended in jellified padding,
Completed with shells by the score,
Sea-weedy bordered, ...flourescent too!

I smiled warily, bolted the door
And then did the best I could do,
I just flushed it - - - unobtrusively!

Fay, this is hilarious. You describe the loo-seat magnificently. I indulged in one of these - it's now made a hasty exit after much ribbing from friends. Your poem on the door would have gone down a treat (are you sure you've not visited! !) S ;)

Not a place to sit and think , with all those creatures on the brink if your body heat melted the plastic the results i feel could be quite drastic You gave me my gigle for the day Fay
