A Light Bulb Poem by Juan Olivarez

A Light Bulb

A single light bulb, in a darkened room,
Will banish forever the stygian gloom.
Turning the night time into day,
Leaving no room for shadow play.

It will brighten up each hidden niche,
There is no place it's light won't reach.
Chasing nightmares out into the night,
With it's glorious incandescent light.
