A Moment's Pause Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

A Moment's Pause

Stillness speaks a thousand meanings
As one in Silence stops to listen.
A moment's pause, truly sustaining,
Like earth that drinks rain from heaven.

Quietness deftly suspends the Time
Giving soul due Rest and Nourishment
Reviving thoughts to what is sublime
Energizing one for a bigger achievement.

We don't lose a life if we stop for a while
And just as a little rain clears the air,
Rest in life's travel makes us go more miles
And when refreshed, we manage to get there.
