A Need To Change
I've been hurt,
let down so many times,
that I've forgotten what it's like to feel good.
Maybe I'm too kindhearted?
See good in those that do me wrong.
But i remember the words of that well known song,
I will survive!
I've always let my heart rule my head,
Let kindness take over,
Refusing to say no instead.
Will i ever change?
I've had many reasons to do so,
I really think the answer to that is no,
For that is the way i am,
The only way i know.
