A New Person Poem by Richard Wlodarski

A New Person

Rating: 5.0

I had stumbled and fallen
Into the pit of despair
With total darkness all around me
Unable to see the guiding light

Breaking into a cold sweat
I was unable to move
Thought processes had ceased
Paralyzing fear

Time had calmly eased the pain
Stopping for introspection
I had done some damn serious soul searching
Rising to unexpected aspirations

Recognizing that I was unique and lovable
I was able to change my philosophy of life
Now I saw beauty where once there was ugliness
And hope where once there existed only despair

I opened up and became vulnerable
In giving sharing receiving
I was shown caring and such love
God has inspired me for life

THX very much, Zachary Cannon for adding my poem to your favourites. It's always a pleasure and honour when a poet does that.

'A New Person' brings the complete transformation taking place inside a man- From Untruth to Truth, From Darkness to Light and From Death to Immortality (A part of Sanskrit Hymn) . Highly motivational & Blissful. Stopping for introspection.... serious soul searching Recognizing that I was unique and lovable Now I saw beauty where once there was ugliness And hope where once there existed only despair
