A Pair Of Traveling Shoes Poem by Dorsey Baker

A Pair Of Traveling Shoes

Everybody has a color
unless
they are a ghost
nobody is less
everybody is most
blood runs common
hot or cold
an illusion of beauty
the eyes behold
fakeness and reality
come between you and me
our thoughts
are so different
and they
can never merge
flesh is weak
and willing
to submit to the urge
the paths we have taken
one bitter
one sweet
no compromise
they meet!
