A Prayer For Tonight - Poem by Michael P. McParland
I come to you God on this night
to offer a prayer of peace and ask for
you to help give my love your comfort
and be filled with strength so profound,
and to help her to know the truth of
all the love I feel.
God please watch over her and continue to
help her know she's not alone.
That she's so deeply loved and that at
a moments notice in need of anything
I'm right here to answer her call for help.
Give her peace to know she's not all alone in the least.
God please help her to know the truth and depth
of my everlasting love and dedication,
that I would not lie about such things or try to
hurt her for some reason beyond our comprehension.
Please bless her with the peace of mind and true
knowledge that what I hold inside is pure and solid.
Help her to know I walk along with her everyday
in spirit by her side,
that I'll never leave her broken and abandoned like a
toy I'm bored with after a little while.
Help her to know I treasure her in every way for
just who she is my Kira from heaven and my best friend.
God please be with her and clear her body of all its pain,
she does not deserve such suffering.
She deserves a perfect body with no sickness or maladies,
she's a gorgeous loving woman who deserves the greatest things.
Let me carry her heavy burdens so she can be happy
doing everything she's ever wanted.
I would give my life to make her whole and happy.
God please just be with her and give her endless peace,
she deserves pure contentment and happiness with no sadness,
please give her full release of these things that cling to her.
I love her very much and to see her smile is the greatest
thing I can imagine when her soul is filled with joy and contentment unmatched.
God please help her find everything she wants and once again
on my behalf please have her know the truth of my immense
and undying love for her the one I want to be with forevermore.
