A Rejoinder Poem by Doris Cornago

A Rejoinder

Rating: 5.0

A rejoinder to this man
Escaping gravity pull
Finds resistance
Freedom is not
Momentum
Gained
But
Space
Retained
On movement
Keeping your
Distance from
Unwanted instance
Steady, well-grounded
Eye leveled, edge beveled.

A Rejoinder

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Freedom is a myth. No can truly claim to be free, or have freedom, when all around him are evidences of a man's entrapment - as he can only define who/what he is by the things he has attached himself to. True freedom can only be attained when one can view himself apart from the things which "defines" him and suffer no disorientation but be well-grounded.
