A Question Of Beauty Poem by Shirley Hanley

A Question Of Beauty

Rating: 4.6

A question of beauty,
to be or not to be?

I swam in those
shallow waters
for a time.

I prefer my
waters deeper.

It takes a
whole lot'a energy
to run that
beauty machine.

Make no mistake
about it, the mask
of beauty takes
a lot of effort
to create and maintain.

Time better spent
elsewhere...
according to me
and Mother Teresa.
