A Quiet, Rainy Day Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

A Quiet, Rainy Day

Rating: 5.0

The sky hangs heavy, draped in somber gray,
A muffled silence whispers through the trees,
The world is hushed, as if to softly pray,
A gentle stillness borne upon the breeze.

The rain descends, a soft and steady beat,
On window panes, a rhythmic, calming sound,
The dampened earth, a cool and sweet retreat,
Where gentle puddles silently are found.

The clouds drift low, a veil across the hue,
And shadows lengthen, far and wide they stretch,
A tranquil solace in the passing view,
Where peace and quiet tenderly now perch.

The day surrenders to the coming night,
A quiet comfort, bathed in waning white.

This poem is like an impressionist painting the visuals are stunning capture of natures tearful serenade to mother earth. Lovely work
