A Realist Poem by Nadya Andyani

A Realist

Rating: 5.0

I thought I could catch that glimpse of truth through reality,
Instead, my eyes were reflecting the darkest shade of this lyrical world..
The fear haunts me like a shadow tails the sun,
This unpleasant tale only ends when my life is completely devoured by Deimos...

Loneliness consumes me and yet here i am, remain still...
Trapped in between these four walls, just staring at ceiling limply...
Embracing my hesitation of the existence of the famous almighty savior...
The distance between us is widening,
We no longer communicate...
Pathless, aimless and hopeless...
I shed tears in my time of need..
Waiting for my savior to come whilst my soul was searching for answers...
Silence, and yet all i hear is silence..

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
About this poem: It's a poem about a chronic depression. Someone who always seeks for truth but got lost in the middle. A young naive girl who believes everything is not what its seems, even every little thing has different understanding than what it ought to be. She tried to reach god for help, to make her understand and answer her confusion. But instead of being helped, she feels abandoned.
