A Smile - Poem by Jeanette Telusma

It's amazing how a smile can brighten one's day.
Coming across all sorts of trials and tribulations
Could dampen anyone's spirit
But one smile could be so uplifting.
And really, it doesn't cost a thing, nothing!
To be quite honest, it actually does both parties good.
The receiver is pulled up to a higher place.
The giver feels great; he or she feels genuinely happy
To know or have an inkling of causing another to Smile.
It could be all it takes to shift even an atmosphere.
A smile causes beautiful movements, it's enriching,
It's inspiring, it gives strength to move forward.
Simply, a Smile.
