A Song After Midnight - Poem by Jermaine Carter

i was satnding on a plato after dark
and a gentle song was in the distance,
but dim and light apon my heart.

when you left it fell to the floor,
and the room was filled silence
for a heart that was once adored,
is now a light weaken distance.

i must have called you a hunderd times;
thinking you might forgive me;
but not even a hello came across your mind;
and i stand thinking how i wanted to be

all i have is this song softly over the night
daydreaming of you and me;
as it plays after midnight
