I relish in sweet memories
They're mine, and mine to keep
Time has worked its magic,
No longer do I weep.

I don't possess the power
to bring you back to me,
You'd want me to go on with life,
That's how it has to be.

I still think of you each morning,
As I look to the stars at night,
But somehow get that feeling,
That life will be alright.

For you are my guardian angel,
To help me make it through,
I'll always hold a special place,
Inside my heart for you.
