A Teardrop, An Ocean Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

A Teardrop, An Ocean

Rating: 5.0

A frog who lost his love
can always go back
to his waters.
where do we go?
we, the human beings, often,
are drowned in the ocean
of our own sorrow,
the ocean of our own tears.
for us a teardrop
is an ocean!

The sadness and despair which accompanies lost love can be so hard to overcome. It's very true that one can drown in the sorrow. Very nicely penned.
