A Thousand Miles Poem by Jazlle D. H. **contentment is the key to happiness

A Thousand Miles

Rating: 4.1

For Jeff & our angels

I want you and you're not here to comfort
me from my tiring day. I feel like hell
today. I look at the porch picturing
you're there with clearer movements jabbering,
giggling and full of excitement. The sounds
of your laughter fill my body with strength.

You look at me and your eyes twinkle like
the sun shining after the heavy rain.
Your smile melts my body pain. I hold you
close in my mind and feel your warm body
beside me. I love you and miss you each
day that you're thousand miles away from me!

I feel like giving you a hug. You have communicated so well the feeling of emptiness. Sad but lovely writing. 10 to cheer you up!
